Dean) said ho thought New Zealand should he adequately represented at the next Olympic Games, when an appeal for support was received from the Olympia Council. . It was decided to reply that the Union would give all the he.p it could. A letter was received from the Hawke’s Bay Union asking for a matc.i against the All Blacks to tour Australia. The matter is to he considered, hut at present it is not thought practicable. , , . , It was decided that the captain and vice-captain unveil a memorial to the late Robert (Dick) McGregor, in Sydney, now being erected by New Zealand footballers and admirers, over his grave there. The South Canterbury Union oomp’ainod that the South Island selectors made no effect to gain first-hand knowledge of players nominated by their Union. —Received. Mr C. J. Rutherford, secretary of the French Rugbv Union, wrote stating that lie would be able to advise definite acceptance of a French tour of New Zealand next season in a month’s time. Rugby is cvidontlv booming in Samoa, a letter received from there stating that over 200 had engaged in competitions this season. Their teams had beaten representatives from warships. and they were looking forward in future to touring New Zealand and plevinp their Maori cousins. Mr "IT. S. Leith was aiipointod manager of the New Zealand team to tour Australia. C. O. Router was. unpointed captain, and Mr M. F. Nicholls vicc-cnptain.
