WEDDING.

BAKER—AVALKER.

A pretty wedding took place at the ' Higlilield Presbyterian Church on 19th A Lay, when Thelma, third daughter of Air and Airs Walker, Collingwood ! Street, was married to Cecil, third son I of Mr and Alt's T. C. Baker, Arthur Street. The church was decorated by

choir friends of the bride, and the service, which was choral, was conducted by the Rev. Adam Begg. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a gown of the softest white crepe sylvia, with flares of accordeon pleated georgette in the skirt. Long georgette sleeves were caught tight at the wrist with a small true lover’s bow. Her veil was hold in

place with a coronet of silver beads ana posies of orange blossom, a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern completing her toilet. Iho bride was attended by three bridesmaids. Aliss Aland AValker, sister of the bride, wore a frock of the palest mauve crepe de chine. Alisses Edna Trcngrove and El'en Baker were dressed alike in thepalest of pink crepe de chine. They all wore wreaths of autumn-tinted leaves on their heads, and carried bouquets to match their frocks. The duties of the host man were carried out bv AL James Urquhart, of Tliornbury. and Alossrs E. Smith (Oaniaru) and F. Baker (Dunedin) were groomsmen. After fire marriage the guests adjourned to the residence' of Air and Airs AA’alker. whore the wedding breakfast was'held. The bride’s mother received her guests wearing a navy blue costume embroidered, with braid, black hat relieved with white, and she wore a marabout fur. Her bouquet was of mauve chrysanthemums. AL'S T. C. Baker, mother of the bridegroom, wore black maroeaiii trimmed with gold, and hat to match, and a bouquet of lemon and hronze chrysanthemums. Later in the day Ah' and Ah's Baker left amidst showers of confetti for the south. Tile bride travelled in a fawn maroeain frock with Oriental trimming, and hat to match. She wore a fox fur. the gift of the bridegroom. _ AL and Mrs'Baker’s future home is in AYoodville.
