A thirteen year old buy, Thomas Sedgmcn, and a companion ran away from home, intending a country adventure. They reached Blaeklieath, and .spent si cold night in tho bush, without food. A policeman found them next morning , supplied them with breakfast and sent them home by’ train. When they arrived home, Scdgincn’s mother asked where he had been. 'flu: boy. without replying, went to bis bedroom, and a few minutes later a revolver shot was heard. The boy was discolored dead, shot through the head. Ho left a note for his mother saying he* was sorry for what he, was- going to do, and asking her to say good-bye to tlie whole family.
