Hounds Mere then lilted, and thrown off again into Mr Manchester's, where another hare was put 11]-), hul scent now was worse than ever, and she gave hounds ;i very patchy run lor nearly three-quarters ol an hour. The engineer's report ivas adopted. The lender of Air Hanilyn for tho construction of the bridge over the Bounidale Creek in the ALikikihi Riding ivas accepted. Councillor Lindsay reported that the Railway Department had made a much better approach to the railway gate at Htudbolnie Junction. The work had been done promptly, and a good job had been made of it. It ivas decided to thank tire Railway Department for their promptness in carrying out the work. 11l the matter of the chocked condition of Anderson’s drain in the Deep Creek Riding, it was decided to dralithe attention of the occupier of the property. Air Ruddenklau, to the state of the drain, and request that the matter be attended to. Regarding ivorks in the AA’aibao Riding, it ivas decided to have sums p’uced on the estimates for. repairs to Alenzies, Alcßae’s and Station Peak mads, and likeivise for the culvert over the hollow near the AVaihuna bridge.

The engineer was instructed to report on the best method of dealing with the three culverts necessary on the A 7 allev Read. COR R ESPON D KNCE. The Rluecliffs School Committee asked for a bridge across the Otaio liver to allow of children getting to school. The chairman said the work had been authorised for some time, and an extra grant had been obtained. The bridge was between the Upper Pareora and Otaio Ridings. He would like to see tenders called and Hie bridge gone on ivitb. ft was a matter between the two ridings. Councillor E worthy concurred with the chairman's remarks. The K ectric Power Board forwarded a list of 1 places and dates at which it was intended to hold nnblie meetings in connection with the forthcoming loan poll, and asked the Council to arrange that members of the respective Comity ridings take the chair at llieso ncetings.
