A bulletin issued at St. James's Palace, says: “The Prince of Wales had a return of pain in the ear as a sequel to influenza. Iu connection with the illness' of the Prince of Wales, the first public intimation of the trouble was made on Friday, when the Prince sent General Trotter (equerry) to Euston station to explain to Prince Henry, Princess Arthur of Connaught, and other members of the racing party, of the Prince’s disappointment that he was unable to "accompany them to Aintree. The Prince is not In bed, and is expected to be out on Saturday. Public anxiety was stopped by a reassuring announcement, but the ear trouble continued over the week end. Four doctors were called in, including Lord Dawson of Penn (King’s physician). They decided that it was necessary to incise the drum, which was done, and the Prince duly found relief. “The Daily Chronicle” states that the Prince is arriving at Biarritz on Thursday. He will, stay at Melinthe Hotel, where he formerly resided.
