The new AVilliam de Alille paramount picture, “Lost a Wife.” which conies to Temuka to-night, is said to contain more appeal ami genuine comedy than any two of that dircctoi;V previous features combined. Adolphe l Menjou, Greta Nisseii (Paramount’s new Norwegian beauty) and Robert- Agnew are featured in"this marriage comedy that offers something a little different along this line of entertainment. The story is One'of a yquim American travelling ill France. His one great weakness is gambling. Tho picture starts right off when Menjo.u,.seeing Miss Nisseii s name on .the hotel, register, bets a thousand that her face is’uwlul without even seeing her. AYhen lie did see her he paid up, and bet another thousand that he would marry her.Then the fvyi starts. The supporting ■programme includes a Gazette, scenic, and comedy.

Nurse Cato, who will have charge of the dental clinic, arrived in Temuka yesterday. Colonel Gardiner, officer eomiinuidmg Canterbury district, will visit _'l cinnka to-day to inspect cadets now in camp. The inspection and march past will take place at 11 a.in.
