Cheese, slow; . white 96s to 975, coloured 97s to 98s. SALE OF TOAVN PROPERTIES. At the Rialto Rooms, Waimate, last Saturday there was a large attendance of people, when various properties of the late N. L. Thomas were submitted to auction. The business premises in Queen Street were first submitted. Bidding opened at £ISOO, and quickly ran to £IBOO, at which price it was knocked down to Mr A. J. Jones, who owns the adjoining proportv. The goodwill of the bookseller’s and stationer’s business, together with all stock and fittings at valuation, was next offered for sale. This was passed in at auction, hut immediately afterwards the Rialto disposed of the business to Mr Thos. Conlan, of Timaru. The dwelling house- on Parsonage Road was next offered, and this was passed in to Mr AA r . Thomas, of Timari). The Rialto also offered in the estate of tho late Air Thomas, liis Hupmobile car, which they sold to Air Rodgers, of Alorven; also on account of Air Geo. Sadler, a Btiiek car, to Mi’ Petrie, of Waimate. The auctioneers also offered Dr. Hayes’ Alorris-Oxford car, and an offer of £IOO was made, but the price was considered rather low.
