STORM IN NORTH AUCKLAND. By Telegraph—Praia AenoeUtton WHANGAREI, January 20. The severest thunderstorm in Wliangaroi’s history occurred last night. Cable Association SYDNEY, January 20. A tropical de.uge, accompanied by thunder and lightning, caused damage to many business premises by flooding. The Fire Brigade was called upon to pump out several cellars. Many low lying parte of the suburbs are under water, and traffic is blocked owing to debris causing trams to leave the vails. At Pyrmont th e water rose to a heigjit of three feet.
One hundred and eighty points of ram fell in two hours.
