The criticism of the Australian trade treaty insofar as it affects the fruit industry of Canada, is featured in the presidential address by Mr. Lionel Ward, at the annual meeting of the British Columbia Fruit Growers Association, Vernon (British Columbia), on Tuesday. He warned his hearers that the treaty is one which will have very serious effects on tho fruit and vegetable industry of tho province, as already quotations are being received for apricot pulp at lower delivered price than growers were receiving in the past for fresh fruit. The same condition is likely to arise with berry pulp and canned tomatoes. >
