The Nice correspondent of the “Daily Chronicle,” states that Mellor, who is believed to have attempted to open a vein in his .wrist, and finally plunged a knife in his breast, is fifty-eight years of age. He inherited a large fortuno from. his father, who was a Bolton cotton,..spinner. , Mellor .- acquired a handsome villa at Cannes in 1919.
