George Cook, the Australian heavyweight, won a convincing victory over King Solomon, of Panama, in ten rounds. COLLINS BEATS EAGLE. By Cable—Press Association—-Copyright Australian and JJ.Z. Cabin Association. (Received December 13, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 12. At the Stadium, Harry Collins defeated George Eagle in the eighth round, owing to Eagle damaging his ankle, and being unable to continue. Up to then the lighting was lively and fairly even.
The referee’s decision declaring Collins the winner, caused much excitement, a section of tho crowd loudly hooting Eagle.
