VALUE OF THE EXHIBITION ADMITTED. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, December 10. The House of Commons agreed to an item of £1,100,000 in the Supplementary Estinntes for the Government’s share of flic Wembley guarantee. Mr A. M. Samuel said it. was expected there would be a call of nearly 5s in addition to the 15s already made. He pointed out that a profit of £1,157,000 on the running, had been absorbed by capital expenditure. Mr J. H. Thomas said every Dominion and Colony to which he had written inviting an opinion regarding the value of the Exhibition had replied tliat they were well satisfied with the expenditure incurred thereon. Mr TV. Ruhcimnn paid a tribute to tho Dominions’ efforts in displaying an amazing exhibition of the Empire’s wealth, beauty and industry.
