FIGURES FOR EIGHT MONTHS. By Toh'frrnpl)—Press Association NEW PLYMOUTH, December 10. “It is a pleasure for me to state that the public, finances to tiro end of November show satisfactory results, though it is yet too early to indicate the probable- position at March 31 next,” said the Hon. W. Nosworth.v here to-night. For the eight months of flic year ended November 30, eliminating the railway figures (now in a separate account) the revenue was £12,052,810, compared with £11,061,491 for the .same period of 1924. The increase was principally in Customs revenue. The expenditure, again eliminating railways, for the eight months amounted to £13,-128,035, compared with £13,070.175 for the same period of 1924. Mr Noswortby said a large proportion of the Dominion local loan had been received. The State Advances Office would now be in a position to deal satisfactorily with arrears, and by March 31st next the Office should be near normal.
