(Anyone unable to play must ring Mrs Kerr at once): —Mrs Kerr, Mrs Ihomson, Mrs O’Callaghan, Mrs Revell, Mrs Oxford, Mrs O’Leary, Mrs King, Mrs Young, Miss Walton, Miss Wood, Miss Westmacott. Players may ring thencards in the singles. The third grade match has been postponed till Wednesday next. _ The Timaru Ladies’ Club has received a challenge from the Waimate Club for the Boyle Cup, which Timaru recently won from the Avondale Club, Christchurch. The match will be played on Wednesday, August sth. Tho following players are requested to practice and hand in their cards :—Mrs Bannerman, Mrs O’Callaghan, Mrs Thomson, Mrs Oxford, Mrs Paterson, Mrs Webber, Miss Pringle, Miss Clissold, Miss Cottorill, Miss McLaren.
NORTH END CLUB. The following have been selected to represent tho North End Club in a match against Temuka, at Temuka, on Saturday :—Cox, Anderson, Robertson, Mathieson, Menzies, Bradley senr., Sim, Crawshaw, Merryweatlier, Blair, and Tizard. ■ Cars will leave the Public Trust Office at 12.30. Anyone unable to play must notify the secretary. Tho ladies’ team will be selected later.
PROFESSIONAL REINSTATED. By Telegraph—Press Association. AVELLINGTON, July 23. At a meeting of the New Zealand Golf Council, a letter from Dean, the English professional, was considered, admitting that his contention that the terms of the agreement did not permit the Council to send him to the South Island was wrong, and expressing willingness to go anywhere required. Tho Council decided to reinstate Dean.'
