Dr. Earle Page announced the terms for the conversion of the 4J per cent, war loans, which fall duo in December. The rate of interest is to he 51- per cent. The loans will be issued at pai for a period of G ; 11, or 16 yeans at the subscriber’s option. New money will be accepted. The Treasurer is sanguine that most of the present holders will ecu vert their stock or bonds into a new loan. The total amount of the maturing loan to bo covered is £67,060,000.
