PERSONAL.
Mr W. Hall left Timaru for Wellington yesterday. Detective Walsh, of Christchurch, was in Timaru yesterday. Mr J. E. Arnold went to Christchurch yesterday by the express. Air H. D. Acland was a passenger by yesterday’s express on his return from Dunedin to Christchurch. Air S. A. Ogilvie, senior clerk, G.P.0., Wellington, who came to Timaru on Tuesday, loft on lus return to Wellington yesterday. His numerous friends will be pleased to know that Mr D. Stowell, who lias been confined to his bed for tho past three weeks, is now able to get about again. Mr M. E. Lyons, of tho literary staff of tho Christchurch “Sun,” has consented to become a candidate for the Lyttelton sent at next general election. He will stand in the Reform interest.
