The lire advanced so rapidly' that tho iiromon who were .summoned from all thi! metropolitan stations, were practically powerless, anil confined their efforts to stopping the flames from spreading to tho administrative block. Tho estimates of the damage range from Cl 00,00(1 to CJOO.OOU.
