ROTOMA TRAGEDY.

INQUEST OPENED. By Telegraph—Press Association. • ROTORUA, May 6. The inquest on tho victims of the Rotoina tragedy opened at 7.30 last night, before Mr L. W. Richards, J.P., and a jury of four. Evidenco of identification was given by the girl’s father, Alfred Sydney Moors. He s,aid bis daughter was visiting an aunt at Hastings. A letter denoted that she was well and liappy. News reached him by telephone on Sunday that Mary was missing. He asked the polioe to investigate. Tho next news was on Monday, at 3 p.m., of tho Rotoma tragedy. Tho girl was on friendly terms with. Olsen. He could give no theory as to the cause of tho act. Tho inquest was then ,adjourned sine die.
