COMMERCIAL.
TEMUKA STOCK SALE. The fortnightly stock sale was held in the Temulta salcyards on Tuesday. There was a small yarding of all classes of stock, and a good sale resulted. Fat ewes and wethers advanced 2s per bead on prices realised at last sale, and fat lambs also sold at about the same advance. The yarding of store sheep was small. These were mostly of an inferior class, and sold at at advance of Is to 2s per head on last sale. There was a medium' entry of fat cattle. The entry of pigs was in excess of the demand. 1 The following prices were realised: — Store sheep.—2-th ewes 455, aged ewes 19s 9d, rape lambs 38s. 3d. Fat lambs. —From 32s to 33s J3d. Fat ewes. —From 23s 6d to 355. Fat wethers. —From 34s 9d to 365. Fat cattle. —From £3 10s to £8 2s Gd, steers from £7 10s to £lO ss. Stores — old cows from £l_los to £2 10s, one-year-old lieifers 355.
