SEAMEN’S REFUSAL TO WORK.
Commonwealth Line Affected. HIGH COURT’S JUDGMENT. By Cable—Prese Association—Copyright, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received 5.5 p.m., April 10.) SYDNEY, April 9. The High Court made an order, upon the application of the Commonwealth Shipping Board, restraining the Sydney branch of the Federated Seamen’s Union, from encouraging men to strike, by refusing to accept employment in the service of the Commonwealth Shipping Board. The application arose out of the refusal of the Seamen’s Union to supply a crew to the steamer Dilga, on ■* he grounds that various members of the original crew of the Fordsdale are .included ip the ship’s complement. STOKEHOLD CREWS GO ASHORE.

The Marama was ready to sail at 1(1 o’clock when twenty of the stokehold crew Walked off, refusing to give a reason for their action. Later the remainder of the stokehold gang left the ship. Efforts are being made to secure a new stokehold gang.
