The New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association Wrote approving of the tournament programme drawn up by the South Canterbury Association. Air G. F. The Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association forwarded .a programme of their Christmas open, and handicap tournament to be held' on United Courts on December 25, 26, and 27. GENERAL. The programme drawn up tor the South Canterbury tourney was read and approved of. Mr E. D. Alcßae was appointed hon. auditor to the Association. Alessrs Oxford, Hammond, and Robertson were appointed a handicapping committee. Tlie question of accepting post entries aroused considerable discussion which was taken in committee. The secretary broached the subject of a representative match with Otago. It would not be possible to send a team to Otago after Christmas, as several of the best players would not be available. Thus he thought, no time should be lost if a match was contemplated. It was deckled that the Otago Association be informed that it was practically impossible to play after Christmas and it was suggested that a match be fixed for Saturday, December 13, at Dunedin. A vote of thanks was passed to the C.F.C.A. for the use of the board-room.
