CONCRETE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION.

The present is tlie “concrete age, and large and modern buildings in course ot erection to-day m aimosl every country are being bunt ot concrete and steel. Concrete to-day is recognised as the ideal building matciial, and with a view to simplifying concrete construction work for buucieis, and eveii tlie mere farmer, the Box-On Concrete Construction Co. have patented and placed on the market a unique process that promises to fulfil builders requirements and revolutionise concrete construction .work. The Box-On concrete construction system is a New Zealand patent, and is manufactured' in Dunedm. In first cost it is very cheap, and apart from being a big •improvement on the- old box system it saves time, timber and money, and should make instant appeal to builders desirous of obtaining efficiency and economy. Tit© new system is being used by Air A. Kennedy in.the construction of Gabites’ new buildings, while it is everywhere finding favour with the leading contractors throughout the Dominion. A further. ,pr,oot of the efficiency and economy oi ,tho: hew system has just been received; by the Company from the Engineer of tlie- Otago Harbour Board, who writes as .follows: — : - ■ . -

“A concrete shed 40ft. x 40ft. built witli your system of boxing has just been completed, and the results _ obtained justify its use on a larger wharf storage shod now in course of construction. It was found that the system worked most satisfacto) ily, being simple of manipulation, and of sufficient rigidity to ensure sound concrete. In turning, the boxing loaves the green concrete easily, without in any way damaging the concrete, and in fact the appearance of the finished job surpassed my expectations. I .regret that I am unable to. give exact costs, since the building was a smalt one the men were engaged upon other jobs during the progress of the work; but 1 am satisfied that the system is more economical than any previously used by me.”

Inquiries will be welcomed by the South Canterbury agent, Air A. Kennedy, builder and contractor, or the ALanaging Director of die Company, Air C. Alills, of Mills and Hillary. ...
