WEDDING.
GLEDHILL—EVERITT. A pretty wedding took place recently when Mr Thomas Gledhitl (Brunswick Street), was married to Miss Ethel May Everitt (Oamaru). The ceremony was performed by the Rev. \V. Jellie, 8.A., at the residence of Mrs M. E. Holland, Barnard Street. The drawing room was beautifully decorated with arum lilies and orange blossom, while above the bridal party was hung a pretty floral bell. Tne bride, who was given away by Mr Gibbons (a very old friend of the family) tv ore a charming frock of French grey crepe de chine handsomely embroidered, a pretty hat of black georgette surmounted by blue flowers, and carried a sheaf of arum' lilies. The bridesmaid, Miss Nellie Gledhill,. wore a smart frock of dove grey maroeain, with georgette hat to . match. Mr. Thomas Meikle carried out the duties of best mail. After, the ceremony the guests sat down to the wedding ■•breakfast during which the customary toasts were honoured. Later in the day Mr and Mrs Gledhill left (amid shower's of confetti) by car for Lake Tek,npo, Mrs Gledhill travelling in a handsome nigger brown coat frock smart brown liat and fur coat. , . |
