AIR ALFRED DAVIS
By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Australian and N.Z.,,Cable Association. LONDON, Nov. 16. Tlie death is announced, of Alfred Davis, vice-president of the Football Association. (Mr Davis, who was born in 1866, was also honorary secretary of the Thames Amateur ’ Rowing Council and of the Marlow Rowing Club.) Alii ROY SHERRATT. .Vfery, much sympathy is felt throughout Geraldine and district, for Mr- and Mrs W. H. Slierratt, of Talbot Street, Geraldine, .in the untimely death of their youngest son Roy; who passed away on Sunday at his parents’ residence, after a severe illness of/ a few weeks' duration, at the age of 22. Of a bright and happy disposition, he had endeared himself to the whole community iii which he was born and brought up,- and his death in early, manhood, is much lamented by his many friends. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon, at the Geraldine cemetery, when the last sad rites were perfbrihed by the Rev. H. Purchas, there being a very large number present. The business places in the town were closed for an hour, thus showing the great respect in which the family is held. ....... ...
