The fierceness with which political passions are at present gaging appears to have given the impression abroad that the Fascist Government is tottering, but the tension in Rome is in contrast with the general tranquillity in tho country despite sporadic demonstrations, acts of violence and wholesale duels between faetionaries on both sides, most ex-Servieers, claiming a monopoly of patriotism. The continual repet’tion of such incidents undoubtedly tends to weaken the prestige of the Government and the popularity of Fascism, but there nre no inriioai ions of the early full ot Signor Mussolini, whoso position in Parliament is unshakable, fniiing a split in the "Fascist ranks, which is unlikely. ______
