CASUALTIES.

A COLLISION. Two cars collided at tho intersection of Grey Road and Church Street on Saturday afternoon, with the result that one wheel of ono car was badly broken. The occupants of the cars escaped injury.

Hart, the victim of the accident at (Vaipuku last night, died in the hospital about midnight. The accident occurred at the Rutland road crossing, a little south of AVaipuku, not whore the recent accident happened. Deceased was driving ,a car from the Rutland road on to the main road when he was struck by a mail : train.

John Alexander Hall Anderson, single. 51 years of age, was admitted to Dunedin hospital on Friday evening, suffering from severe abdominal pains. He was operated on on Saturday, and died during the operation.' At an inquest this afternoon the Coroner found death was due to gangrene and obstruction of the bowel. '
