The Hertzog Government. PERSONNEL OF NEW CABINET. By Cable —Press Association —Copyright. CAPETOWN, June 30. Mr Hertzog has iormed his Cabinet as follows: Mr J. B. Hertzog, Premier and Minister of Native Affairs. M. Tielmanrees, Minister of Justice. Dr. Malan, Minister of Interior, Public Health and Education. Colonel Creswell, Minister of Defence and Labour. Mr Havenga, Minister of Finance. Colonel Buyers, Minister of Mines and Industries. Mr C. W. Malan, Minister of Railways and Harbours. Mr Piet Grobler, Minister of Lands. General Kemp, Minister of Agriculture. Mr Boydell, Minister of Post and Telegraph and Public Works. Mr Hertzog is the only Minister with previous Cabinet experience. Five of the new team are lawyers, two farmers, and two (Mr Boydell and Dr. Malan), journalists. The latter is editor of the “Burger,” the Nationalist organ. Mr Creswell is a mining engineer. The selection is generally regarded favourably.
