WATERED MILK.
EXEMPLARY FINES. By TVlPgmnb—Pross Association. CHRISTCHURCH, November 21. In fining Wiliium Gleoson T2O on each of two charges of selling watered milk, Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M., said the man had sold milk 33 per cent, or which was water. It was a very shocking caso. His explanation referred to the morning milk, but lus explanation could not be accepted, as the evening milk had contained 20 per cent, of water. This was a most pernicious practice which was being made by a certain class of the milk trade, and the only way to stop it was to imposo such exemplary fines that every milk vendor would remember.
