MEETING OF MANAGEMENT
Tlio management committee of the South Canterbury Football Association met in the office of Mr G. B. .Lambum on .Wednesday evening. Present— Messrs G. 'ls. Lamborn, 0. It. Stewart, It. Hell, A. H. Cooper, W. Craig, G. Metcalf, G. E. Elliott, J. Rennie, J. Si.evonson, C. H. Johnstone, M. Hamilton, J. Drummond, J. Parsons, G. Henstead (lion, secretary and treasurer), and G. A. Pearson (presiding). Albion Rovers wrote applying for a grant towards travelling expenses to Animate.— Held over pending receipt of statement of gate drawings at tne match on September 8. The Canterbury Association wrote thanking the S.C.F.A. for the hospitality extended to the northern representative team, and the secretary lor many favours rendered.

I The meeting discussed the question 1 of the introduction of the code into •| the schools, and several suggestions were put forward for consideration. Mr C. hi. Johnston offered to donate a I cup for competition amongst the Tiinaru schools, .should, a contest bo arranged. Mr Johnston’s, oifer was received with hearty applause, and the thanks of-the Association minuted.
FRASER GOP FINAL
It was decided that the-Fraser Cufi final bo played on Russell Square on Saturday at 8 p.fn., between Rovers and Watersidovs. Mr G. A. Pearson was appointed referee, and Messrs J. Drummond and G. Metcalf linesmen. It was agreed to ask the president, Mr P. C. Vinuell, to present the cup to the winners at the. close of the game, also that in the event of a draw at the eloso of 90 minutes’ play, that two additional spells of ten minutes each be played, corners to count.
BENEFIT MATCH
' It was agreed to play a benefit match in aid of two players— -Bellenger and Logan—injured earlier in the season, on Saturday week, as the last match of the season. * The meeting decided that the match take the form of an international contest between a team of Scotsmen and a team of Englishmen, the game to commence at 3 o’clock, and all the proceeds to go to the injured players, 'lire following committee was set up to make tho necessary arrangements, and to select teams—Messrs A. S. Taylor, G. Metcalf, J. Drummond, G. Elliott, J. Stevenson, and G. A. Pearson (convener). The sub-committee will moot in Mangers’ dressing room on Saturday at 2.15 p.m. sharp.
