LAW SOCIETY’S SUGGESTION. By Telegraph—Press Association. HOKITIKA, Wednesday. The Hokitika branch of the Westland District Law. Society at a meeting held yesterday passed the following, resolution: “Whereas it is obvious that th 6 business fixed for sittings for the trial of criminal and civil cases, and . of causes under the Divorce and Matrix monial Causes Act, 1908, in Canterbury ancl Westland Judicial Districts is rapidly increasing, and that it. will be in the interests of the profession and suitors generally that two Judges of the Supreme Court be appointed for. these districts, both having residence in Christchurch, it is suggested that the two Judges sc sitting in Christchurch would be enabled to undertake the trial of criminal and civil cases and causes under the Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Act, 1908, for the Nelson Judicial District (including Nelson and Blenheim) in addition to the Canterbury and Westland judicial districts.”
