Dr. Henry Hyvernat, the distinguished Egyptologist whom tho late Pierpont Morgan commissioned to collect the priceless Coptic Syriac manuscripts wliich had been, purchased leal by leal from desert nomads by Mr A) organ, lms recently sailed for Europe in the furthering of his researches. H was m pursuit of this commission that in 19]*} Dr. Hyvernafc spent many months m Milan. and formed an intimate acquaintance with the tlion librarian of •tho vast collection of books atached to the cathedral. The librarian, who last year became the Supremo Pontiff of tho Cathedral Church, has invited Dr. Hyvernat to speak before the Vatican prelates on the late discoveries in the Valley of the Nile. Dr. Hyvernat is a native of Lyons, France, but was educated in the East. He speaks not only tho recognised tongues of its peoples, but also many of the dialects of the nomad tribes in and about Egypt and across the Red S.ea in tip.; Arabian) land*.
