On Saturday morning representatives i of the travelling members of the Christchurch Commercial Travellers’ Association met at the Dominion Hotel • to make a presentation to Mr T. A. ' Cloudesley, late licensee of the Empire Hotel, Timaru. Mr W. A. Drake, past president of the Association, in propos- ; ing the health of Mr Cloudesley, said i that he had great pleasure in express- ■ ing the appreciation of the commercial , travellers for the many kindnesses j shown to them by Mr Cloudesley curing ] the five years lie had been proprietor j of the Empire Hotel, Timaru. Jn Mr | Cloudesley the traveller had a firm | friend. Mr C. P. Agar,' president of ibc Canterbury Commercial Travellers’ and Warehousemen’s Association, said it gave him very great pleasure in asking the guest to accept an illuminated address as a token of appreciation. Air Cloudesley thanked the members for their expression of appreciation.
