Hell-last evening it was unanimously agreed.that the prevailing prices charged for meat were OYccssivc unci out ot dll piopoition to the ruling market prices of stock. y deputation was elected to meet the representatives of the trade with, a recuiost for a substantial reduction in the ruling prices, and failing an amicable scuieinent they were to take immediate steps to form a co-operative butchery. I will be pleased if you will confer with the other members of tbe trade and appoint accredited representatives to receive the deputation not later than Monday next.
