Cardinal Bourne, preaching at Westminster Cathedral, protested against the sentence on the Russian Archbishop. He said: “The whole world has shuddered at the nows. He was sentenced sokrly because he did his duty as a' Christian. Ten years solitary confinement is more awful than deatli itself.— A. and N.Z. Cable.
