LUBRICATION Mechanical oil pump pnclosed in timing gear case, fed through sight-feed lubricator. Hand-pump is also fitted for use in emergency. TRANSMISSION The drive is transmitted through 5/8 by 3/S roller chains adequately protected in aluminium. CLUTCH —Contained in large chain wheel. Floating dry plate type. Indesrtuctible. Controlled by lever on handle-bar. GEAR BOX? —B.S.A. 3-Speed gear box. All gears constantly in mesh. Kick starter mechanism enclosed in gear box. STANDS—Back stand of kick-up type, working with bosses integral with chain stay ends. Securely fixed when not in use by clips on mudguard. -Front sta.ud of special ■design. FOOTBOARDS —Fitted at a suitable angle to give a natural position for rider’s feet. CARRIER —Strong light, detachable, tubular, 104 in x 15in. INFLATOR—MetaI, celluloid covered.
