Free State troops marching on tho Tralee-Killorglin road, encountered a stone barricade, which was discovered to have mines with a trigger release. The officer in charge returned to Tralee and brought out rebel prisoners, and ordered them to remove the barricade. The mine exploded, killing eight prisoners and wounding two officers. A similar explosion at Counteesbridgo killed four prisoners. Barry, Rebel Commandant General in Munster, agreed to submit to the febcl executive, proposals mado by tho Archbishop of Cashel for the immediate cessation of hostilities, and the surrender of arms. Munster rebels have been long disposed towards peace, but hitherto have been overruled by Dublin, the Midlanders and Westerners'.
