The Coroner at Westminster described Henry ]louse, a retired Indian civil servant, who died suddenly in a London hotel, ns possibly the “loneliest man on the lace of the. earth.” He had an income of over £2OOO a vear, vet be was homeless and IrieiulJcss, and 'without relatives. Ho wandered from hotel to hotel, liiiug frugally on 12s a day. ’ The coroner regretted that relatives wore not found, as £2OOO yearly was going hogging!— A. and N.Z. Cable.
