On the Bth November, on the road leading from Sofia in Bulgaria, through the;cities of Samokoff! Doupnitza and Radomir, and joining up again at Sofia, a motor-car race L was run which the state of the road rendered extremely difficult. The circuitwhich winds on for 125 miles and a half, was reduced to the very worst condition through several weeks on pouring rain, and for j on g tracts the cars were obliged to proceed with the wheels sunk in mud. The competitors who covered the whole course were:— Ist FIAT (Sarvicky) in 2hrs, 59min. 35sec., equal to an average speed of miles an hour. 42 4th FIAT (NikiforofF) in Bhrs. 31min. 35sec. , The Hill Climb race promoted every year by the Royal Motor-car Club of Queensland in Australia, took place on 21st October on Mount Coot-Tha. The classification was made in accordance with a formula established according to the power of the motor, 'the weight of the car, and the time taken. The following are the general results.
