STERN WARNINGS. LEAGUE OF NATIONS SPEAKS. LITHUANIA WILL RESIST. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. PARIS, Feb. 4. The Lithuanians’ talk of recourse to arms evoked stem warnings of possible intervention by the League of Nations. Earl Balfour and M. Yiviani at a public sitting of the Council of the League, which approved the provisional demarcation line of neutral zones between Poland and Lithuania recommended by the League’s investigation, ordered Poland and Lithuania to disarm and dissolve the bands of irregulars infesting the district. 'The Polish Legion accepted, but Lithuania declined, declaring that Lithuania insisted upon the return of the Suwalki line, which was accepted by both countries before Zeligowski’s coup d’etat. Lithuania would resist to the utmost the occupation of territor, now allowed Poland. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
