According to a_ Merrouge rnes-. sage, the first active legal step in tfie Eu Elux Elan cases occurred to-day, when a group of witnesses retained counsel to gjuide them in answering questions. Counsel advised witnesses not to answer various questions on the o-round of incrimination. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
