Lovers of art attended in large numbers, and as the sale progressed the bidding became more and more spirited. The works offered included etchings, water-colours, studies in oils, and lithographs; -and tne whole collection—which, by the way, was one of the finest ever assembled in a Timaru auction room—was eagerly, , sought.
