OBITUARY.

MRS I. CAMPBELL.

Last Friday night the death occurred at Ashburton of Mrs Isabella Campbell, wife of Mr Roland Campbell, Chertsey. Mrs Campbell, who was in her eightieth year, was born, in Dunkeld. Perthshire, Scotland/and arrived in Lyttelton about 58 years ago in the sailing ship Blue Jhcket. Mr and Mrs Campbell went to Southbridge, and later to Barr Hill. Fortyfive years ago they removed to Chertsey, where Mr Campbell successfully carried on farming until - three years ago, when he retired to Hampstead. Mrs Campbell was a devout churchwoman, and for a considerable time was president of the Mothers’ TJnipn. During the Avar period she did an immense amount of good work. There are five sons and one daughter In Canterbury—-Messrs Donald and Archie Campbell (Chertsey), Messrs Colin and Roland Campbell (Ashburton), Mr W. D. Campbell (Tirnaru), and Miss Mary Campbell (Ashburton). ;
