TIMARU BRANCH. The monthly meeting of the Timaru Pluuket Society was held on Tuesday. Present. —Aletsdames J. P. Newman (president), Cray, Jones, Standage l , Talbot, Stinson, Thomson, \ igers and the secretary. Nurse Dunlop read a report covering the -work done during the month. A letter was received from the general secretary in reference to cases taken at the Karitano Home, and the charges for same, and explaining that in certain instances where tho parents were unable to paw, these charges were reduced, and sometimes in cases ot destitution no charges were made. Tho report of the last annual conference was laid on the table. The question of the southern houndarv was discussed, and it was considered advisable, to find out if the Waimate district included tho Pareora freezing works. As Airs Vigens was going to Waimate, she offered to interview- the. Waimate Committee and find out it their nurse was working Pareora.
