Government, Danish, and Argentine butter prices are unchanged. The first shipments of Australasian free butter are expected next week. There are small prospects of the Government prices being exceeded, and possibly they vill not be equalled owing to supplies of the lower-priced uncontrolled article almost equalling the demand. . The cheese market is uncertain. New Zealand white is 100 s to 102 s per cwt; coloured 02s to 945. The wheat market is dull, with prices tending in buyers’ favour. Australian is quoted at 60s. Flour is moderately steady. Aus- j tralian, 58s 6d. • > The oats market is weak; prices ; have declined Is. j Beans and peas are quiet; Tasmanian and New Zealand blues un- | changed. T'lio slight impetus given to tlio oat market about three weeks ago was only artificial, and to-day the top prices quoted were: A grade Cartons 2s lOd, B grade 2s 9d, on trucks. Tho offerings from tho country are not heavy, bub are ample for requirements. In sympathy with oats, tho trade in cluiif is also dead, and the rates quoted remain tho same —£3 to £3 5s at country stations. Seeds are quiet all round. A fair quantity of clover was shipped by the Ccrinthic for London this week.
