OAMARU, August 5.Tho inter-school football match between Christchurch and Waitaki Boys’ Hirii Schools was played to-day in cold weather. The ground was heavy alter the rain, and the ball was greasy. In tho junior match Waitaki won by 21 to nil. The visitors were completely outclassed. In tlie senior match Christchurch won by 22 to nil, the superiority being m ti lo back division, clever backs, and handling of the ball, despite the unfavourable conditions. In the annual debating contest, with tlio subject: “That tho immediate granting of Dominion status to India is in the best interests of the Empire.” Waitaki taking tho negative, won by 500 points to 472.
