PLUNKET SOCIETY
MONTHLY MEETING. Tlie monthly meeting of the Timaru Plunket Society was held yesterday. Present: Mesdames Talbot, Paterson, Mason, F. Pavinond, G. Jones, Nurse Annetts, and the secretary (Mr G. Moffat). The Plunket Nurse’s report dealing with the work done during the month was read. The secretary gave a statement of the finances, and accounts amounting to £-.11. (Is Id iworrj passed for payment. Til® following donations and subscriptions were acknowledged:—Timaru Borough Council, £ls; Mrs Pearson, 10s; ilrs Dr. Paterson, £l. Sister Patrick, director of Plunket Nurses, wrote stating that she would bo in Timaru this week. The Fairlio Committee wrote asking if the committee would permit the use of the car for special cases requiring the attention of the nurso between the fortnightly visits. _ It was resolved to advertise for donations of old and now clothing, same to he left at the nurse’s office. Mrs G. .Tones reported on the progress made with the Guild work, and it was decided to get a quantity of circulars for the nurse to distribute asking for assistance from the friends of tho Society in connexion with the “Pose Pay” and sale of work. etc., to he held on November 25 and 20 next. A vote of sympithy was passer] with Mrs Cave in tho death of her sister.
