She is due at, Timaru on Tuesday to W.d for Wnngamii direct. The Commonwealth and Dominion L«iue is inaugurating a regular ivrv-ice between Xew York and Boston and Australasian ports. The initial voyage in this venture is being made by Hie steamer Port Curtis, which, after discharge of her present cargo in Australia, will return to New Zealand to load a return cargo to New York and (or) Boston. The local agents. iWessrs D. C. Tnrnbnll and Co. have received information that the Port Curtis is to load in Dominion ports, taking refrigerated and general cargo, early in October. Should trade warrant it the sliips of this line will call at Timaru at regular intervals.
