WELLINGTON, August 16. .Delegates.from-branches of the Locomotive Engine-drivers, Firemen nnd Jicaners' Association met in Wellington, co-day to consider various matters, the most important being a draft agreement prepared by the committee appointed by the Government after the recent .strike. The other brandies of the railway service and Railway Officers' Institute have accepted the recommendations made in their cases. The. E.F.C.A. has not yet accepted, and some of the branches are known to be opposed to acceptance on the ground ihat the agreement does not concede- some of their demands. The conference, ■which represents the loco, men throughout New Zealand, will decide whether or not the. agreement shall be accepted. 'The delegates did not complete their deliberations to-day. and will meet r-gain to-morrow.
