LEVELS VALLEY.

EACHELOB.S' BALL. The bachelors of Levels Valley held their annual ball in Mr K; Brophy's granary on Friday evening. The night being fine brought visitors irom far arid near. The grand-march was taken part in by about 50 couples, and was Jed off .iq music by bag-pipers. During the evening songs were rendered by Messrs Biggs, Daley, MeLough,<m una The music was supplied by Messrs, Coffee, 0. Bain, FBiggs and F.'' Morison, and M. J. Hall in ado a very efficient, M.C. Supper was served during tho evening, and was a very sumptuous one, Dm-irsi tin- evening Mr TV. J. Barker, on behalf of the visitors and resiuentb umnked tho -oachelors far their kind 'invitation.- He congratulated them on t'r.c success of the function, and 1 oped bv this limo next year Mime ot them wouldlbe amongst the benedicts Mr J -Vtkinson. on behalf of the bachelors, thanked the visitors for coming such a long way to make the evening a success, and also thanked Mr and Mrs Brophy for their kindness in 1 Dueling their granary and giviug every assistance. Mr Brophy returned thanks, and said it was a. pleasure to see tli& young people enjoying themselves. He- honed now that the shed vras in order that the spinsters would avail themselves of <'■■" of giving a return ball at an early date.
