The Hon J, T. Paul arrived- in Ti-"nia-ru yesterday, and'returns to Dunt'din to-day. Chaplain Captain H. 0. Hanby,, hav-
ing terminated ■ his appointment at 1 Rotorua, arrived in Timaru from the north yesterday, and goes on to Fairh'e to-day. ' > The death is announced by cable from Sydney of the Rt. Eev. John Mary Dunne, Roman Catholic Bishop of Bathurst since 1901. Mr R. C Tennent. who was manager of the Bank of New South Wales.' in. Timaru for thirteen years, has been spending a few davs here. He goes on to Dunedin to-day. Mr Tennen't has retired from the Bank <and at preeent is living in Nelson.
